Fitch Ratings has assigned an 'A' rating to the following American Municipal Power, Inc. (AMP) Prairie State Energy Campus (PSEC) project revenue bonds:
--$67 million Prairie State Energy Campus project revenue bonds refunding series 2017A.
The bonds are expected to sell via negotiation the week of October 23. Proceeds will be used to refund all or a portion of outstanding series 2008A and 2009A bonds for interest cost savings. Savings are expected to be taken annually and maturities will match those of the bonds to be refunded.
In addition, Fitch has affirmed the following ratings:
--$1,563 million outstanding PSEC project revenue bonds (prior to the refunding) at 'A'; The Rating Outlook is Stable.
